A Bit About Me
Let’s start from the top. Hi, I’m Melissa. I’ve been a real estate agent for more than 20 years, proudly living and working in South Etobicoke. Before I dive too far into the real estate side of things, I’d love to kick this blog off with a few fun facts about myself.
As much as I love my local community, I haven’t lived here my whole life. I grew up in Sudbury, Ontario, a small(ish) city about four hours north of Toronto. It’s a quiet, down-to-earth place, but also very convenient. I’m also bilingual and grew up speaking French before learning English later on.
Another must-know about me is that I’m an animal lover, especially dogs! I have an adorable English Bulldog (who makes the occasional cameo on my Instagram). I’m also passionate about fitness and healthy living, from staying active to eating right, wellness is a big part of my life.

My Road to South Etobicoke
In many ways, my love for Sudbury is what brought me to South Etobicoke more than 15 years ago (and what keeps me here today)! If you’ve been here before, you know that South Etobicoke has a small-town charm to it.
It’s green, homes are bigger, the lots are bigger, and everything is a little more spread out. Plus, with Lake Ontario right there, you almost get the feeling that you’re at the cottage.
Unlike other parts of the city, South Etobicoke is friendly, super family-oriented, and well removed from the hustle and bustle of downtown. You’re not fighting off crowds or constantly sitting in traffic, but you’ve still got access to big box stores, great public transit, major highways, and the international airport.
It sounds cliché, but this neck of the woods really checks all the boxes. That said, since moving to South Etobicoke, I’ve seen the area change and evolve a fair bit – especially while working as a real estate agent. My love for the area and firsthand experience living here inform my approach to real estate every single day.
What I Love About Real Estate
Now that you know a little bit about where I’ve come from, let’s talk about real estate. I’ve been a Realtor for more than two decades now, and I’ve loved every minute of it!
Every agent has their own motivations. For me, it’s all about the sale. Whether that’s selling a house, or “selling” a buyer (and their offer) to the current owner of their dream home. I love crafting a game plan, putting in the prep work, having the best product on the market, and of course, getting a great result. I always put in 110% because that’s what drives me.
You’ll also notice that I’m a big marketer, always staying up to date on trends, new technologies, and unique opportunities to reach local buyers. Video is also an essential part of how I sell. Results That Speak For Themselves
As a real estate agent, I’m here to ensure my clients get the best result possible, whether that’s landing their dream home, or selling for top dollar. Over the last 20 years, I’ve had a lot of success doing exactly that.
For instance, I just sold a condo for the full asking price in 10 days in one of Toronto’s toughest markets ever. While that’s just one example, I’ve also been a top 10 producer at my brokerage, Re/Max West, every month for the last decade.
Of course, I’m incredibly proud of this, but what I love just as much as having good numbers is hearing from thankful clients, and I’m happy to say that I’ve received countless five-star reviews, thank you notes, high fives, and hugs. That’s my favourite way to measure success.
