A Village Within the City
Anyone who’s been to Mimico will tell you just how unique the vibe of the neighbourhood really is. That’s because before it became part of Toronto, Mimico was a fully independent village, and its small-town atmosphere never went away.
Today, Mimico still feels like a charming lakeside village. You’ve got all kinds of locally owned shops, boutiques, restaurants, and cafes throughout the neighbourhood – including world-renowned spots like SanRemo Bakery.
Life by the Lake
If you want to live an active lifestyle down by the water, Mimico is hard to beat. Located right on the lakeshore, you’ve got two amazing parks at your doorstep: Mimico Waterfront Park and Humber Bay Park. Both parks feature several kilometres of scenic waterfront trails – great for jogging, bike rides, or simply walking around and enjoying unbeatable views of the Toronto skyline.
If you’re looking to be social while staying active, the Mimico Tennis Club is worth checking out. There’s also the Mimico Cruising Club, a boating and yacht club with a popular boat-sharing program.
